Back on Track® has created a unique Hock Boot design (sold in pairs), which incorporates a soft, functional Welltex™ pad within a neoprene casing. The Velcro closure mechanism and specific sewing techniques used in the manufacture, have been developed to afford similar toughness to that of the Back on Track® conventional Hock Boots (see separate listing) and to minimise the possibility of the boot slippage. This close fitting boot increases the therapeutic effect of the revolutionary ceramic infused material, as it comes into direct contact with the horse’s hock joint, thereby improving circulation, which is intended to enhance the healing process, relieve joint tension and may aid in avoiding injuries.
It is recommended only to use this product during rest periods, stabling, turnout or light hacking, not during strenuous physical exercise and, preferably, the horse should be in an upright position & not allowed to roll or lie down while wearing the Hock Boots*.
For sizings, please see the listing for conventional Back on Track® Hock Boots.
* PLEASE NOTE: The strength exerted by the flexing of the leg as a horse lays down and gets up again, could stretch the “fully enclosed” style boot(s) to such an extent that the stitching can be ripped apart or the neoprene shell tears (rendering the boot, non-repairable). There could, potentially, be an slight chance of slippage (especially the Hock Boots, Royal), particularly if the horse is overactive during stabling/turnout.
